Positive informal learning experiences help pre-schoolers become life-long learners of STEM!

The Science Factory offers multiple STEM-experiences and programs designed specifically for children:

  • Class-Sessions: These sessions focus on different STEM-themes — for example, constellations, the solar system, flowers, rocks & minerals, electricity, etc. For most of these sessions, children will take home some artifact from the session activities. Also, we will continue to offer separate “Who Done It?” forensics classes. Children spend a session learning the STEM behind crime scene investigation. They dust for fingerprints; analyze handwriting; test ink samples; and create dental impressions in order to piece together the evidence to solve a staged-crime.
  • Other Programs: After-School Clubs, Birthday Parties, Holiday-Themed Events, Pre-School Groups, Early-Childhood Enrichment Groups, “Parent/Child” Groups, and Scouting Programs are all welcomed. The Science Factory has met with representatives of both Girl and Boy Scouts of Northeast Ohio, and these programs can be used to fulfill scouting badge requirements.
